Irinel Dobrițoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelian Nae. 16 minutes into the match, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Queirós came free, but Irinel Dobrițoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Aurelian Nae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Vilas Boas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Nae's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delfim Vilas Boas was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Corneliu Pârlea's late challenge caught a MZ Fénix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Vilarinho kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Aurelian Nae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvério Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Irinel Dobrițoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Silvério Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Irinel Dobrițoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricardo Ventura kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Aristide Encuțescu charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristide Encuțescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Encuțescu. Aurelian Nae scored 1-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delfim Vilas Boas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Silvério Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Irinel Dobrițoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Silvério Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Irinel Dobrițoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute MZ Fénix were awarded a corner. Nuno Cruz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led MZ Fénix's Nuno Cruz to fire away a dangerous shot which Irinel Dobrițoiu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Nae in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Aurelian Nae managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Nae was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delfim Vilas Boas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Bouleanu in the 80th minute of the match. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Irinel Dobrițoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Fc Gheraseni from getting a goal against them. MZ Fénix's Rui Taborda was substituted for Silvério Vasconcelos. Lucrețiu Cernea kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Aurelian Nae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes of play, MZ Fénix's Rui Taborda made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Irinel Dobrițoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aristide Encuțescu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 97 minutes, Adam Balțoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Fc Gheraseni and the MZ Fénix players grew even worse after the yellow card. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MZ Fénix would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
