Fractal FC's Gerardo Filipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole Per Schikaneder in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Ole Per Schikaneder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolland Sallai in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerardo Filipo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute Fernan Ler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Flecken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Adam Lischka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Filipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Filipo came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Adam Lischka. But to his dismay, Adam Lischka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gerardo Filipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Schmedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute Enrico Schmedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Filipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Fernan Ler made the kick off in the second half. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
