Spectators: 7998 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pacho Carabajal started the match with the kick off. When Pacho Carabajal came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Brugge United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pacho Carabajal couldn't finish the play. Tobiasz Boruta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pacho Carabajal in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match Brugge United got a corner. Zagórna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Timmy Simons ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Timmy Simons got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tobiasz Boruta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Brugge United's Dolf Rouckeloos got control of the ball when Teobald Wlodyga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute, Lucjan Hajder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Brugge United's Pacho Carabajal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobiasz Boruta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zagórna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zbyszko Ankiewicz in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes Zagórna got a freekick which was hit by Radowit Barciniak. Pacho Carabajal might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobiasz Boruta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pacho Carabajal ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Brugge United's Dolf Rouckeloos got control of the ball when Teobald Wlodyga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dolf Rouckeloos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Dziura in the 25th minute of play. Dolf Rouckeloos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Dziura in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Brugge United's Dolf Rouckeloos got control of the ball when Teobald Wlodyga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Dolf Rouckeloos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobald Wlodyga. In the 38th minute, Timmy Simons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brugge United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zbyszko Ankiewicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Zagórna's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Zbyszko Ankiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dolf Rouckeloos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

In the 53rd minute Igor Paprotny suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Timmy Simons's late challenge caught a Zagórna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timmy Simons helped the player get up and apologised. If Pacho Carabajal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Zagórna booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raoul Lambert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zagórna fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, Brugge United's Timmy Simons got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tobiasz Boruta. Zagórna made a substitution. Maksymilian Setara replaced Sebastian Dziura. In the 84th minute, Pacho Carabajal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobiasz Boruta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Brugge United's Pacho Carabajal got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dolf Rouckeloos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobald Wlodyga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Pacho Carabajal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobiasz Boruta. That made the score 1-4 in the 93 minute of play. After 99 minutes, Gustaw Majtyka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zagórna and the Brugge United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zagórna's Gustaw Majtyka got a free kick in the 99th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brugge United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
