With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Baladi in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Valerón saved ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting behind. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Tavio in the 7th minute of play. Roy Peto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Baladi in the 11th minute of play. Remigio Valerón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Tavio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Escobar in the 14th minute of play forced El retorno del Pincha's goalkeeper Roy Peto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Arturo Baladi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El retorno del Pincha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Baladi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Escobar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roy Peto having to make a save. After 25 played minutes El retorno del Pincha got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Baladi. Ermegildo Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El retorno del Pincha's Roy Peto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Escobar in the 33rd minute of play. Rosendo Bazkoare kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Baraxil Casillas hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Roy Peto threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guido Escobar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Remigio Valerón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Baladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Enrique Txartiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Silban Mušica got a free kick in the 50th minute. Enrique Txartiko was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 51st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Iago Segura got a free kick in the 54th minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting a goal against them. In the 56th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taurino Losantos to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Baladi took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Valerón. Remigio Valerón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 62 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Guido Escobar. Roy Peto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Escobar in the 71st minute of the match. Arturo Baladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Iago Segura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Peto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Tavio in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Valerón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rdth minute of the game Arturo Baladi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Shepherd in the 87th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Remigio Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes, Segundo Shepherd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El retorno del Pincha and the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, El retorno del Pincha's Segundo Shepherd got a free kick in the 88th minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Teodoro Dorio was substituted for Guido Escobar.
