Kim Hendrickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etor Benito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The KFC Cromvelde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim Hendrickx should have stopped the shot. Kim Hendrickx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jani Petters's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Jani Petters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Hendrickx was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. In the 48th minute of the match La Mora CAT got a corner. KFC Cromvelde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lykaon Vlahos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The La Mora CAT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rambo Jon should have stopped the shot. After 65 played minutes La Mora CAT got a freekick which was hit by Alarico Trinidad. Rambo Jon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Dem, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The supporters of La Mora CAT booed when KFC Cromvelde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Mora CAT made a substitution.
