An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Morata in the 7th minute of play forced FC Regental's goalkeeper Silvio Boschewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esparta FC's zone, Mehdi Bernwurz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Iraitz came out of the goal and Mehdi Bernwurz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernabe Hulberto hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Esparta FC's Placido Fonso got a free kick in the 29th minute. German Gipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Álvaro Morata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Álvaro Morata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Boschewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Regental's Luis Kimmel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The throw-in from Martin Huch in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Esparta FC's Celestino Frederik. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernabe Hulberto to make the kick off. After some careless play in the FC Regental defense, Álvaro Morata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Boschewski. The FC Regental fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Boschewski should have stopped the shot. Silvio Boschewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Morata, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Silvio Boschewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Hulberto in the 60th minute of the match. When Mehdi Bernwurz fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. FC Regental's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 91 minutes into the match, FC Regental's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Morata came free, but Silvio Boschewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of FC Regental's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Regental may have spent more time on the ball, but Esparta FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
