An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Travassos in the 13th minute of play forced FC Bredene's goalkeeper Jacobus Van Landewijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Bredene getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Perry Ceusters hit a great ball. Jacobus Van Landewijck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Travassos went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jacobus Van Landewijck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardinho Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Rick Wood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Baiano having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, FC Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Medeiros came free, but Jacobus Van Landewijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobus Van Landewijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Travassos in the 32nd minute of play. Abelardo Vidal came free in the 36th minute and tried to tip the ball over Jacobus Van Landewijck, but to the joy of FC Bredene's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Bernardinho Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. If Rick Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reynaldo Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Reynaldo Travassos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jacobus Van Landewijck made a huge save. After 71 minutes, Perry Ceusters mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bredene and the H4K.BR players grew even worse after the yellow card.
