The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Theofilos Kaplanopoulos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. Byron Wills came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Thodoris Negris. But to his dismay, Thodoris Negris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Wilber Padgett fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marshrose's protests and gave Wilber Padgett a yellow card for diving instead. Wilber Padgett kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Walker Bird kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilber Padgett in the 35th minute of play forced ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's goalkeeper Achilleas Mavilis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achilleas Mavilis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bara Miss in the 38th minute of play. Marshrose's Byron Wills proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Marshrose from getting a goal against them.

The supporters of Marshrose booed when ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilias Charakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Ilias Charakos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Byron Wills made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Marshrose's Edward Desilets got a free kick in the 65th minute. Byron Wills didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ilias Charakos went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Thanasis Dabizas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 76 played minutes ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Negris. Wilber Padgett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achilleas Mavilis having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Thodoris Negris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Byron Wills. Marshrose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thodoris Negris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 83 played minutes Marshrose got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bourgouin. Thanasis Dabizas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Byron Wills took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koulis Kourdos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Bara Miss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Achilleas Mavilis. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bara Miss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Marshrose's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
