After 12th play minutes Carmelo Feliz shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Gustavo Resto and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 25th minute of the match Club Universidad Nacional got a corner. Granate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carmelo Feliz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Carmelo Feliz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustavo Resto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gustavo Resto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epifanio Velasco's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Gustavo Resto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Feliz in the 29th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Feliz in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Resto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pastor Celino during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Universidad Nacional booed when Granate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Celino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Resto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Ofelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Resto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Universidad Nacional's Carmelo Feliz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Gustavo Resto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Feliz's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Granate's Gustavo Resto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Granate from getting a goal against them. Romeo Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Galtero in the 71st minute of the match. Leonides Ofelio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustavo Resto firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Feliz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Resto was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Epifanio Velasco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gustavo Resto came out and tried to block the shot, but Epifanio Velasco slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Granate's Fernan Chepe got a free kick in the 78th minute. Epifanio Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Resto having to interfere. Gustavo Resto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmelo Feliz went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. When the match was over Club Universidad Nacional could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Granate throughout the match.
