In the 11th minute, Tobias Romildo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felipe Santos Borré was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Gol came free, but Jean Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th match minute, SÃO JORGE FC™® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Paiva to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Atlético Capixaba getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Fiori Simão hit a great ball. The tension between the SÃO JORGE FC™® and the Atlético Capixaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Eriberto de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Simão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felipe Santos Borré. SÃO JORGE FC™®'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SÃO JORGE FC™®'s Felipe Santos Borré played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fevzi Regaip in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Romildo in the 41st minute of play forced SÃO JORGE FC™®'s goalkeeper Felipe Santos Borré to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson Severo's late challenge caught a SÃO JORGE FC™®'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hudson Severo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SÃO JORGE FC™® booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Schmidt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alfredão de Andrade. Jean Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Madureira in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleiton Netto was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Romildo in the 52nd minute of play forced SÃO JORGE FC™®'s goalkeeper Felipe Santos Borré to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, SÃO JORGE FC™®'s goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Romildo came free, but Felipe Santos Borré reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SÃO JORGE FC™®'s Alfredão de Andrade got a free kick in the 85th minute. Fiori Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Tobias Romildo took a quick shot and it went in 1-8 without a chance for Felipe Santos Borré to make any attempt to save it. 92 minutes into the match, SÃO JORGE FC™®'s goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Netto came free, but Felipe Santos Borré reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luiz de Queiroz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobias Romildo in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Santos Borré prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz de Queiroz in the 96th minute of play. The Atlético Capixaba supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético Capixaba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
