When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Van Field sped through Gnesta Oilers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Holger Vennerlund. After 16 minutes of play, Gnesta Oilers's Jack Bergman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Aquiles Jerold got a free kick in the 18th minute. Eriberto Ceandro made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gnesta Oilers's Jonas Smitt. Van Field sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gnesta Oilers booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Salomone didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Stefan Dalkvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Cordearo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Lundqvist during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gnesta Oilers getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Erik Lundqvist hit a great ball. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save SOUTH THUNDER from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Humberto Bixintxo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Holger Vennerlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SOUTH THUNDER. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mauro Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Vallman in the 57th minute of the match. Mauro Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Vallman, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Van Field had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Procopio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Holger Vennerlund made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as SOUTH THUNDER's Augusto Procopio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holger Vennerlund. That made the score 2-2 after 61 minutes of play. After 66 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Incendio. When Gnesta Oilers's Kasper Vallman in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SOUTH THUNDER's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to SOUTH THUNDER getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Godofredo Malvin hit a great ball. Gnesta Oilers's Kasper Vallman got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Smitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Smitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kasper Vallman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Cordearo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Augusto Procopio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SOUTH THUNDER players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
