The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when DALO S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Trespuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. WINNING ELEVEN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Jerzy Lewandowski scored to the left of an out of position Celedonio Urtzi, making the score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Roman Arguiso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celedonio Urtzi, 2-0. Rui Figueiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Riquelme in the 26th minute of play. Juan Riquelme scored 2-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Figueiras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. WINNING ELEVEN's Celedonio Urtzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Lewandowski in the 30th minute of play. If Roman Arguiso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when DALO S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Cespedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celedonio Urtzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Arguiso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when DALO S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Trespuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes WINNING ELEVEN got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas-Gabriel Otamendi. Celedonio Urtzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerzy Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Roman Arguiso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celedonio Urtzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Lewandowski in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the game, Manolo Uquillas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Celedonio Urtzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celedonio Urtzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Arguiso in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Roman Arguiso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Urtzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 65th minute, Jerzy Lewandowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerzy Lewandowski scored 5-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celedonio Urtzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute, Juan Riquelme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WINNING ELEVEN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. If Roman Arguiso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to WINNING ELEVEN getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Armando Pietro hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Juan Riquelme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WINNING ELEVEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DALO S.C. the free kick. Juan Riquelme kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Celedonio Urtzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Arguiso in the 83rd minute of the match. Celedonio Urtzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DALO S.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
