An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Orixe in the 6th minute of play forced Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Salmuera CP got a corner. Carpathian Wolves's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erasmo Telmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carpathian Wolves's Nicodim Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Fidensio in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Carpathian Wolves getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gigi Miclescu hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Orixe came free, but Nicodim Arghirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match, Niculae Arbore got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eloy Vela was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Remigio Roldan got a free kick in the 16th minute. Eloy Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Iorgu in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Iorgu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpathian Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salmuera CP the free kick. Olimpiu Iorgu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Salmuera CP getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mateo Pacho hit a great ball. Sabin Ciomag kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Telmo in the 26th minute of play forced Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Carpathian Wolves's Codrin Aalexoaiei got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Carpathian Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Ogică to maneuver through the defense. Niculae Arbore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Eloy Vela made a huge save. In the 37th minute Mateo Pacho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Salmuera CP fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Salmuera CP's Marcelo Fidensio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eloy Vela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Olimpiu Iorgu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olimpiu Iorgu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Carpathian Wolves getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gigi Miclescu hit a great ball. Eduard Rusu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Fidensio. After 59 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Jax. When Nichifor Ogică came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Carpathian Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nichifor Ogică couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes, Froilan Jax mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salmuera CP and the Carpathian Wolves players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Salmuera CP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Jax to maneuver through the defense. Eloy Vela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Iorgu in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Carpathian Wolves booed when Salmuera CP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Arbore in the 66th minute of play. Nicodim Arghirescu stood somewhat misplaced when Marcelo Fidensio came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Horacio Nevada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Nicodim Arghirescu made a huge save. Paulino Orixe kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With his leg Nicodim Arghirescu managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Salmuera CP's Marcelo Fidensio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 84th match minute, Carpathian Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Ciomag to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Fidensio in the 91st minute of play forced Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Salmuera CP players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
