Crispin Sherwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wladyslaw Drozdowski in the 4th minute of the match. Vaggelis Vaakanainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Potts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 minutes, Dobromir Wawrukiewicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FA Sandtown and the Ampthill FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Potts came free, but Vaggelis Vaakanainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wladyslaw Drozdowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pankracy Jaks during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when FA Sandtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pankracy Jaks didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Jack Potts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Vaakanainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gez Little spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FA Sandtown's goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gez Little was the one to do the kick off. FA Sandtown's Vaggelis Vaakanainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gez Little in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FA Sandtown's zone, Jack Potts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Vaakanainen came out of the goal and Jack Potts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Dave Ferrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Vaakanainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Little in the 57th minute of the match. Crispin Sherwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wladyslaw Drozdowski in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Ampthill FC's Fitz Pickard seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fitz Pickard the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ampthill FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fitz Pickard had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 63rd minute, one of Ampthill FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ampthill FC. The audience was convinced that Gez Little's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vaggelis Vaakanainen was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 80 played minutes FA Sandtown got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Czempa. Cyryl Smuskiewicz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Garry Kinsey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampthill FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Garry Kinsey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vaggelis Vaakanainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 85 minutes, Wladyslaw Drozdowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FA Sandtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wladyslaw Drozdowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcin Czempa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Crispin Sherwood made a huge save. Crispin Sherwood was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dobromir Wawrukiewicz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 95 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FA Sandtown had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
