Spectators: 7533 (Terracing: 5651, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Cristi Cândroveanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alípio Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With a little luck, Minho FC's Artur Malafaia got control of the ball when Dumitru Tolea tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dumitru Tolea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olimpiu Isvoreanu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Dark Prophets defense, Álvaro Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristi Cândroveanu. The Dark Prophets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristi Cândroveanu should have stopped the shot. After 16 minutes, Maurício Pimentel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minho FC and the Dark Prophets players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristi Cândroveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alípio Gaspar in the 19th minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, Minho FC's Maurício Pimentel made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristi Cândroveanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd match minute, Minho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordão Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Dark Prophets's attentive Sandu Ardeleanu managed to snatch the ball when Isidoro Vilarinho made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alípio Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Maurício Pimentel took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Cristi Cândroveanu to make any attempt to save it. Alípio Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristi Cândroveanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alípio Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. Alípio Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Alípio Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristi Cândroveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raimundo Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Artur Malafaia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dumitru Tolea's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. If Alípio Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Minho FC's Maurício Pimentel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After having played for 71 minutes, Maurício Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olimpiu Isvoreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Alípio Gaspar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristi Cândroveanu. That made the score 0-7 in the 79 minute of play. Maurício Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Cristi Cândroveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alípio Gaspar in the 84th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Alípio Gaspar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Minho FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
