Wesley Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Guerrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Nicolas Maties played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Sergipano in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Lisandro Abeijon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Wesley Meira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Nicolas Maties proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 from getting a goal against them. In the 16th match minute, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Paulin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's zone, Alan Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Maties came out of the goal and Alan Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Nicolas Maties managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Maverick Futebol Clube's Alan Amaral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Dario Eguzki got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Thomás Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Villa. After 28 minutes, Francisco Guerrero made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalkeeper Nicolas Maties had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Amaral. In the 34th minute, Hermengildo Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Sergipano in the 35th minute of play forced CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalkeeper Nicolas Maties to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Guerrero scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wesley Meira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Guerrero in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wesley Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Guerrero made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Maverick Futebol Clube's zone, Alex Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wesley Meira came out of the goal and Alex Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olívio Teles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nicolas Maties. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicolas Maties made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Sergipano in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Laerte Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolas Maties was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After 67 minutes of play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Laerte Sergipano made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Maties was left in no man's land by his defense there! Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute Francisco Guerrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Guerrero in the 96th minute of play. The Maverick Futebol Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
