Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Caricancha's Fermin Precioso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Alagoano. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rigoberto Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Luís Eduardo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Caricancha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Braulio Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caricancha's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Ledesma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Eduardo Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Caricancha booed when Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Francesco in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Eduardo Rossi saved Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Braulio Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caricancha's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Ledesma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Eduardo Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Umberto Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's Luís Eduardo Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Precioso in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes, Wanderson da Mata made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Caricancha's Elias Milio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umberto Proença to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Fermin Precioso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Braulio Ledesma made a precise shot to the right of Luís Eduardo Rossi. Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Elias Milio made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Umberto Proença sent off a good shot on target. After 72 minutes of play, Caricancha's Rigoberto Francesco made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Eduardo Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Octavio Vito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Eduardo Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Precioso in the 77th minute of play. After 78 minutes Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fermin Precioso who took care of the corner kick. In the 79th minute, Umberto Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's zone, Rigoberto Francesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Eduardo Rossi came out of the goal and Rigoberto Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Francesco might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Eduardo Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Francesco ran back to his position shaking his head. After 83 played minutes Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Guedes. Octavio Vito hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Luís Eduardo Rossi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clinton Mata went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Braulio Ledesma notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's Luís Eduardo Rossi. Luís Eduardo Rossi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Esquadrão do Guarana DMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
