In the 10th minute Aykan Yazganalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Alexe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulu Hayat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grigore Albulescu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Basmane Texas booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Drumeș didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Champions Iasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristinel Alexe should have stopped the shot. After 44 minutes, Sever Gâfu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Champions Iasi and the Basmane Texas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Ghimiș to make the kick off. Champions Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tahir Işıklar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 71 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Albulescu came free, but Ulu Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Basmane Texas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuzalp Nurbaki to maneuver through the defense. Basmane Texas's Kurt Rıfkı was substituted for Adem Müller. In the 73rd minute, Oğuzalp Nurbaki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Adam Ghimiș. After a defensive mix-up in Champions Iasi's zone, Oğuzalp Nurbaki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Alexe came out of the goal and Oğuzalp Nurbaki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Oğuzalp Nurbaki fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basmane Texas's protests and gave Oğuzalp Nurbaki a yellow card for diving instead. Oğuzalp Nurbaki hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Oğuzalp Nurbaki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristinel Alexe was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Grigore Albulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Oğuzalp Nurbaki came free, but Cristinel Alexe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. Kurt Rıfkı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Alexe having to interfere. Cristinel Alexe made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Kurt Rıfkı sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Oğuzalp Nurbaki came free, but Cristinel Alexe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
