When Frank Di Cristofaro fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OldHighburyInvincibles's protests and gave Frank Di Cristofaro a yellow card for diving instead. Frank Di Cristofaro kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, OldHighburyInvincibles's Angelo Bracco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Urbano Remicio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fortunato Di Ianni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, OldHighburyInvincibles's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Txordon came free, but Fortunato Di Ianni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Perrucho FC's Urbano Remicio got control of the ball when Angelo Bracco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Txordon's late challenge caught a OldHighburyInvincibles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Txordon helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Perrucho FC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Donzel. Tomas Txordon took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fortunato Di Ianni. Fortunato Di Ianni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fortunato Di Ianni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Txordon in the 28th minute of the match. If Aurelio Ferrante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Perrucho FC booed when OldHighburyInvincibles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Castelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Angelo Erroman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Di Ianni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paolo Esiquio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fortunato Di Ianni. OldHighburyInvincibles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frank Di Cristofaro made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Angelo Bracco. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eulalio Francis during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Urbano Remicio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Bracco, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Perrucho FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Txordon was the one to do the kick off.
