When Vito Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tirense F.C.'s protests and gave Vito Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. Vito Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Palmeira. 37 minutes into the match, Donat Collier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Eduardo Novaes. Tirense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donat Collier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luiz Eduardo Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donat Collier in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Marinho to make the kick off. Ronaldinho Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tirense F.C.'s zone, Edinson Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Novaes came out of the goal and Edinson Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Eduardo Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donat Collier in the 69th minute. Luiz Eduardo Novaes was a little too slow when Donat Collier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-4. Alberto Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Donat Collier sped through Tirense F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Novaes. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Norberto Marinho sped through Nova Soccer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Estefan Vizcarreto.
