Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lopez Coteron kicked off to start the match. Atlético Arenillas's Roman Barrufet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Guidoni in the 5th minute of play. After 6 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Dario Gelsomini. In the 9th minute, Lopez Coteron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 15 minutes, Ennio Guidoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merceron United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio Guidoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Merceron United's Dario Gelsomini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roman Barrufet. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 22nd minute, Dario Gelsomini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merceron United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Roman Barrufet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Facchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Dino Facchetti took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Roman Barrufet to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 32 minutes, Ennio Guidoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merceron United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio Guidoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lopez Coteron scored 3-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carmine Latini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wellington Piñeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Gelsomini got free with Roman Barrufet in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roman Barrufet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ennio Guidoni in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xzaver Garival during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Atlético Arenillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xzaver Garival to maneuver through the defense. Dino Facchetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Barrufet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Dario Gelsomini lined in a short shot 4-1 behind a frustrated Roman Barrufet. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Gelsomini to make the kick off. A collision led to Atlético Arenillas getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Wellington Piñeiro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Arenillas's Alvarez Onis got a free kick in the 60th minute. Merceron United's Dario Gelsomini got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Gelsomini in the 68th minute of play forced Atlético Arenillas's goalkeeper Roman Barrufet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, Atlético Arenillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pinto Anda to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Arenillas's Roman Barrufet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Guidoni in the 86th minute of play. Roman Barrufet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Facchetti in the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Merceron United fully deserved thier win.
