E.C.Pelotas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugenio Ruy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Cesar Cordeara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luís Fernando Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fernando Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Cordeara in the 19th minute of play. Cesar Cordeara scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fernando Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Fermin Ellande notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of E.C.Pelotas's Luís Fernando Silva. Luís Fernando Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Paraíba in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Fagildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute Eugenio Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fernando Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Ellande in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Ruy in the 41st minute of play forced E.C.Pelotas's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martindo's Anier Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Paraíba in the 43rd minute of play. E.C.Pelotas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lino Vianna in the 45th minute. After taking down the ball on E.C.Pelotas's corner Lino Vianna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anier Fagildo quite easily take care of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio Ruy was the one to do the kick off. Luís Fernando Silva was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Eugenio Ruy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eugenio Ruy really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. If Eugenio Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. E.C.Pelotas made a substitution. Joaquim do Valle replaced André Luiz Saldanha. With an all-out effort, Martindo's Luís Fernando Silva threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fermin Ellande, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 59th minute, Douglas de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, Fermin Ellande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Luís Fernando Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the game, Martindo's Eugenio Ruy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Fernando Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Luís Fernando Silva was a little too slow when Cesar Cordeara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-10. A collision led to E.C.Pelotas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Joaquim do Valle hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes Martindo got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Raebert. E.C.Pelotas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fermin Ellande 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-11. After 81 minutes, Doni Tasso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C.Pelotas and the Martindo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Doni Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
