The tension between the Quandus and the Itajaí Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when Quandus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Fabiano Corrêa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diogo Negri was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leonardo Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Diogo Negri made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Luís Fabiano Corrêa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Carlos Reis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Diogo Negri made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Luís Fabiano Corrêa sent off a good shot on target.
