Beppe Pozzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Kjell-Arne Björkqvist came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the FC Bodil United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kjell-Arne Björkqvist couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 23 in the game by Flavio Miranda from a close distance when the talented Torgny Fastesson managed to make a qualified save. FC Bodil United's players were relieved. Anders Nilsson kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Demetrio Roberto got free with Torgny Fastesson in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Flavio Flocco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Demetrio Roberto made the kick off in the second half. Beppe Pozzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell-Arne Björkqvist in the 53rd minute. Torgny Fastesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Buonanno, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Demetrio Roberto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torgny Fastesson. After 65 played minutes FC Bodil United got a freekick which was hit by Anders Nilsson. In the 68th minute Tord Näfver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Pozzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
