Gone With the Win

Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leon Kennedy kicked off to start the match. Gone With the Win's Malcolm Hopton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alaeddine Loinaz in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Gez Wendon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Ubendu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gez Wendon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Antonio Ubendu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Alaeddine Loinaz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gone With the Win's Malcolm Hopton. Malcolm Hopton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Malcolm Hopton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Fraco went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jack Saunders in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antonio Ubendu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. John Paul Metcalfe hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tommy Merris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Ubendu having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Acoite FC got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Mino. Elias Kimetz hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Dionisio Mino kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gone With the Win's Simon Ellis tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Antonio Ubendu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Saunders in the 38th minute. Malcolm Hopton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Kennedy in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Acoite FC's Leon Kennedy got a free kick in the 40th minute. Gez Wendon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Kennedy during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Acoite FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Jack Saunders made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Kennedy in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm Hopton saved Gone With the Win from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, Acoite FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Wendon came free, but Antonio Ubendu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Guilabertus kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Simon Ellis might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Ubendu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Ellis ran back to his position shaking his head. If John Paul Metcalfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Mino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Saunders in the 63rd minute of play forced Acoite FC's goalkeeper Antonio Ubendu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Acoite FC's Leon Kennedy got a free kick in the 64th minute. A collision led to Acoite FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Leon Kennedy hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Saturnino Urtun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acoite FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Urtun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Acoite FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Urtun to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, Acoite FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Urtun to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Ubendu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Merris in the 82nd minute of play. Ruben Sansone's late challenge caught a Gone With the Win's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Sansone helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Acoite FC's Ruben Sansone got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Acoite FC's Antonio Ubendu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Saunders in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Kennedy came free, but Malcolm Hopton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jack Saunders sped through Acoite FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antonio Ubendu. Antonio Ubendu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Wendon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lloyd Elding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Acoite FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Wendon came free, but Antonio Ubendu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gone With the Win players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
