Themos Stamelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Raszek in the 7th minute of play. Czeslaw Piczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Themos Stamelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panos Nikologiannis during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Panos Nikologiannis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Wlodzimierz Raszek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Themos Stamelos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diogenis Priovolos kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Kylian Henry succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 28th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Piczak in the 32nd minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Themos Stamelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Triantopoulos. 34 minutes into the game, FC Catalonia's Wlodzimierz Raszek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Themos Stamelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 39 played minutes FC Catalonia got a freekick which was hit by Damian Danisiewicz. Themos Stamelos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wlodzimierz Raszek went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Zbikowski made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, FC Catalonia's Wlodzimierz Raszek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Themos Stamelos. Themos Stamelos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. In the 56th minute, David Villa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Themos Stamelos. The goal made the score 2-5. Thomas Papagiotopoulos's late challenge caught a FC Catalonia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Papagiotopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute Charalambos Kouvaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Rzeszutko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ΠΑΟΚ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Charalambos Kouvaris in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Czeslaw Piczak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Catalonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΠΑΟΚ FC the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Gilbert Kostrzewski made a precise shot to the right of Themos Stamelos. ΠΑΟΚ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-6. Wlodzimierz Raszek scored 3-7 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Themos Stamelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Themos Stamelos was a little too slow when Czeslaw Piczak got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 3-8.
