A collision led to Characate FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ernesto Txanton hit a great ball. Otto Kielstedt came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Characate FC's Santo Romano. But to his dismay, Santo Romano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Loco Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otto Kielstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 13 minutes into the game, Characate FC's Loco Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otto Kielstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Otto Kielstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Palermo in the 19th minute of play. Otto Kielstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Pastore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sonny Classon fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leeds United FC's protests and gave Sonny Classon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Characate FC booed when Leeds United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Classon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Palermo came free, but Otto Kielstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Allan Odin. After 28 minutes of play, Characate FC's Carlitos Tevez made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otto Kielstedt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Otto Kielstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Romano in the 32nd minute of play. Javier Pastore took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Kielstedt. Otto Kielstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 39 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goalkeeper Silverio Sanson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Palermo in the 42nd minute of play forced Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Otto Kielstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otto Kielstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlitos Tevez came free, but Otto Kielstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Javier Pastore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Characate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Pastore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Loco Palermo made the kick off in the second half. Loco Palermo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Kielstedt. Otto Kielstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Benedicto Cheche kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Loco Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otto Kielstedt was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Fidel Igon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Kielstedt having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Otto Kielstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loco Palermo. Otto Kielstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlitos Tevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 71 minutes, Hans Rosendahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds United FC and the Characate FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Santo Romano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otto Kielstedt. The goal made the score 0-7. Otto Kielstedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loco Palermo in the 78th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Characate FC's Santo Romano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otto Kielstedt. That made the score 0-8 after 79 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Leeds United FC defense, Loco Palermo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otto Kielstedt. The Leeds United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otto Kielstedt should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Loco Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otto Kielstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11.
