Rafael Anaya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mauricio Sigaran's late challenge caught a Caaguazu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 21 minutes, Baldomero Vellon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caaguazu and the LenSalvador CF-A.C.S players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Vellon to maneuver through the defense. When Gilberto Montes came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the LenSalvador CF-A.C.S fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Montes couldn't finish the play. With 28 minutes on the clock, Gilberto Montes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 29th minute, Gilberto Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 29 minutes, Daniel Rojas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caaguazu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Rojas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Rojas in the 36th minute of the match. Antonio Santamaria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rich Barth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Reyes Barcenilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caaguazu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LenSalvador CF-A.C.S the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Reyes Barcenilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rafael Anaya made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Kismi Sierralta sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Caaguazu's Rafael Anaya threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reyes Barcenilla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rafael Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malvin Vidaurre in the 54th minute of play. Rich Barth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Sigaran in the 69th minute of the match. Daniel Rojas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Rafael Anaya made a huge save. Rafael Anaya made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Kismi Sierralta sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Reyes Barcenilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Anaya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reyes Barcenilla in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Rojas in the 87th minute of play forced LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's goalkeeper Rafael Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
