After 3 played minutes ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Hever. In the 6thth minute of the game Eloy Gabirel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS's Åke Lövskog was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eloy Gabirel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ceferino Hever blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Lövskog having to make a save. Åke Lövskog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Sande in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ booed when BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Lövskog stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eloy Gabirel's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Siro Olivar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Gabirel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Åke Lövskog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Brei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil de Salles in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Sande in the 31st minute of play forced BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS's goalkeeper Åke Lövskog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd match minute, BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Batista to maneuver through the defense. Gil de Salles struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Agustín Brei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS. Elias Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Agustín Brei made a huge save. Carlos Eduardo Batista got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Silvinho de Queirós. In the 44th minute, Eloy Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Åke Lövskog made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Gabirel in the 53rd minute. A collision led to BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ermegildo Arano hit a great ball. Eloy Gabirel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Lövskog having to interfere. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Agustín Brei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Negri in the 63rd minute of play. When Elias Meira fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS's protests and gave Elias Meira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Elias Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS's Åke Lövskog got control of the ball when Eloy Gabirel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Gabirel in the 78th minute of play forced BK TECH EQUIPAMENTOS's goalkeeper Åke Lövskog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Eloy Gabirel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Lövskog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Travassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustín Brei was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Agustín Brei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eloy Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
