Lucas Herena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the game, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Hector Ignatius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucas Herena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zeledon Gutierrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Herena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Ignatius in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Herena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Hector Ignatius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of Lagrima en Jarrita booed when ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Sande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hector Ignatius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Hector Ignatius made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Herena. Lagrima en Jarrita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The supporters of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ booed when Lagrima en Jarrita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Ignado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Herena was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Domingo Lleir. 63 minutes in the game, Ceferino Hever fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lucas Herena having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Lucas Herena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lagrima en Jarrita's zone, Hector Ignatius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Herena came out of the goal and Hector Ignatius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector Ignatius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucas Herena came out and tried to block the shot, but Hector Ignatius slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 78th minute. Emilio Vidal hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Ceferino Hever charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceferino Hever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
