When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Anselmo Indar sped through Grêmio's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roger Seco. Roger Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Maore, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Anselmo Indar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roger Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Maore in the 15th minute of the match. Roger Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Indar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Club Atletico Chusca's corner Efrain Cugat fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roger Seco quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Indar in the 34th minute of play forced Grêmio's goalkeeper Roger Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Anselmo Indar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Chusca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Celestino Fonda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Roger Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atletico Chusca getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Pastor Jurgi hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Anselmo Indar made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Celestino Fonda notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Grêmio's Roger Seco. Roger Seco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Indar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Seco was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Maore in the 59th minute of play forced Grêmio's goalkeeper Roger Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Fonda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Roger Seco made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grêmio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Anselmo Indar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pastor Jurgi came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Club Atletico Chusca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Jurgi couldn't finish the play. Grêmio's Roger Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Fonda in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Sixto Mikeldi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Faustino Quintin fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Chusca's protests and gave Faustino Quintin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, one of Club Atletico Chusca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico Chusca. Nilton Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Celestino Fonda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Pereira hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Faustino Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
