An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Rezende in the 3rd minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Uriel Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Rosa in the 5th minute of the match. Villa Verde FC's Chicão Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute of the match Faustão Braga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Raymon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th match minute, Villa Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Braga to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Marcones. With a little luck, Villa Verde FC's Igor Camargo got control of the ball when Genaro Argina tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villa Verde FC's Gilvan Rezende got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 41 played minutes, Villa Verde FC's Faustão Braga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uriel Raymon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villa Verde FC reached it. Genaro Argina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Igor Camargo made a huge save. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Isaac Marcones hit a great ball. Uriel Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Rosa in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Uriel Raymon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Antônio Carlos Madureira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Uriel Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Costa in the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Victorio Gilesindo hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Mero came free, but Igor Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Isaac Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them.
