Conan Shields didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago Damião went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Remo Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remo Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When Vern Elwick fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clapham Comets F.C.'s protests and gave Vern Elwick a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Vern Elwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandrinho Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Frost in the 11th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Ademar Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the Clapham Comets F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ademar Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sandrinho Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Overmars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Clapham Comets F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AF CERRADO:s goal. The referee gave AF CERRADO a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Basílio Abraão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Clapham Comets F.C.'s Conan Shields. 0-2. Conan Shields made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Damião in the 35th minute of play. Conan Shields showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Dantas in the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Ademar Dantas put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Conan Shields.

The wind increased when Thiago Damião made the kick off in the second half. Conan Shields showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Dantas in the 54th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Marco Overmars put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sandrinho Sabóia. A collision led to Clapham Comets F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Neil Murray hit a great ball. Sandrinho Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vern Elwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute Clapham Comets F.C. were awarded a corner. Marco Overmars went to the cornerflag to take it. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Marco Overmars was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sandrinho Sabóia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cauan Vieira hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Damião came free, but Conan Shields reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Marco Overmars got a free kick in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Marco Overmars notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia. Sandrinho Sabóia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandrinho Sabóia came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Clapham Comets F.C.'s Calum Frost. But to his dismay, Calum Frost quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. A collision led to Clapham Comets F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Geoff Ansell hit a great ball. The long shot by Basílio Abraão in the 96th minute really tested Conan Shields's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
