Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugo Albuquerque kicked off to start the match. Serginho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Gorosti in the 3rd minute of the match. Anibal Cresenciano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Delmiro Eguzki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curumalán AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Eguzki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hugo Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Toninho Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MINEIROS's protests and gave Toninho Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Curumalán AFC booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Braga in the 16th minute of play forced Curumalán AFC's goalkeeper Justo Roldanillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Velasco hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. MINEIROS's Hugo Albuquerque was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Cresenciano in the 22nd minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Serginho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Eguzki kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, MINEIROS's Silvinho Brodel tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hugo Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 28th minute of the match Toninho Goiano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Toninho Goiano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Curumalán AFC booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Delmiro Eguzki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serginho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Justo Roldanillo made a huge save. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Curumalán AFC! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Gorosti to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Esteban Cambiasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curumalán AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Cambiasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Hugo Albuquerque had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justo Roldanillo. Curumalán AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Albuquerque was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 64 minutes into the match, Curumalán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Albuquerque came free, but Justo Roldanillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Roldanillo came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by MINEIROS's Hugo Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Hugo Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. João Vítor Linhares hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's João Vítor Linhares got a free kick in the 75th minute. Hugo Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Justo Roldanillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvinho Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Delmiro Eguzki, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Hugo Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Hugo Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Roldanillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
