But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Zaccardi couldn't finish the play. Jan Rein de Boer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Rein de Boer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Filippo Barbato skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Alberigo Gianfrancesco hit a great ball. Filippo Barbato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Rein de Boer in the 24th minute. Jan Rein de Boer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filippo Barbato having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Jan Rein de Boer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filippo Barbato was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. If Jan Rein de Boer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pieter Beuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Minichiello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Rein de Boer got free with Filippo Barbato in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 minutes, Andy Scholte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn and the XMAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Andy Scholte. Filippo Barbato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Scholte, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Minichiello came free, but Pieter Beuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pieter Beuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Minichiello in the 38th minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Ernesto Minichiello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Pieter Beuk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Minichiello was the one to do the kick off. When Jan Rein de Boer was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Minichiello in the 53rd minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Pieter Beuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carel Deiman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Ennio De Nardis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hans-Cees Schattenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn booed when XMAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberigo Gianfrancesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andy Scholte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in XMAS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Julias Rascals Apeldoorn. Niels Borker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Filippo Barbato. 1-0. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Concetto Marinucci hit a great ball. Niels Borker, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Filippo Barbato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Scholte in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in XMAS's zone, Andy Scholte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Barbato came out of the goal and Andy Scholte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn booed when XMAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Barillari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans-Cees Schattenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carel Deiman scored 2-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filippo Barbato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Andy Scholte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn had won after a very even match.
