The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Libardo Fuentes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ✪ XV de Umarizal booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Galeas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rodrigo Nestor fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ✪ XV de Umarizal's protests and gave Rodrigo Nestor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when ✪ XV de Umarizal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Nestor didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Pineda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Quadros. That made the score 2-1 in the 31 minute of play. Paulo Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Pineda in the 35th minute of play. Paulo Quadros was a little too slow when Alberto Pineda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 3-1. After 40 played minutes ✪ XV de Umarizal got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Mineiro. Paulo Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Galeas in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to ✪ XV de Umarizal getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rodrigo Nestor hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Paulo Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Galeas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Fidel Uranga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Paulo Quadros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute Wellington Ratov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Peña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Libardo Fuentes hit a great ball. A hard shot 76 in the game by Lucas Moura from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Peña managed to make a qualified save. Club Deportivo Águila's players were relieved. Ricardo Peña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Moura in the 82nd minute.
