Hitz Urdiales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Paraíba in the 11th minute of the match. Mario Balsera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th match minute, Braga Junior FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Marques to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Atlético Bucaramanga defense, Samuel Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hitz Urdiales. The Atlético Bucaramanga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hitz Urdiales should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Braga Junior FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Kiko Neves hit a great ball. Lugo Saavedra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geraldo Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Geraldo Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dayro Moreno in the 31st minute of play. Christian Braga hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 38th play minute Dayro Moreno came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Geraldo Moreno. 2-1. Atlético Bucaramanga's Hitz Urdiales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Gaúcho in the 41st minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Venceslao Velilla to strike the kick off in the second half. Mambru Bolaño hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Geraldo Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dayro Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geraldo Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venceslao Velilla in the 63rd minute of the match. After 65 played minutes, Atlético Bucaramanga's Weterio Caceo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geraldo Moreno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Bucaramanga reached it. After 66 minutes, Jacinto Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Braga Junior FC and the Atlético Bucaramanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Braga Junior FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. In the 91st minute Samuel Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hitz Urdiales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mambru Bolaño was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Bucaramanga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Braga Junior FC a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Samuel Paraíba, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Bucaramanga's Hitz Urdiales. 2-2.
