But to his dismay, Kenny Granger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Sparta LKS's Daniel Wydrych proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Sparta LKS from getting a goal against them. Daniel Wydrych made an important save on a dangerous shot by Derrick Keene in the 18th minute. Daniel Wydrych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sherman Friedman in the 21st minute of play. Daniel Wydrych made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Kenny Granger sent off a good shot on target. Hurricanes FC's Kenny Granger got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sparta LKS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kenny Granger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Derrick Keene was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Wydrych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Granger in the 60th minute of the match. Daniel Wydrych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickie Bourque, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norbert Wieczorek during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
