Gilvan Luz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reko-Recko 03™'s Carlos Eduardo Donatello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Reko-Recko 03™ from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Edu Schmidt could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Carlos Eduardo Donatello however easily saved by the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Alex Sarmento put in a rough tackle. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SRP-Laguna! Edu Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Carlos Eduardo Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SRP-Laguna's Gilvan Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Fresnedo in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Edu Schmidt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gilvan Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Pombal in the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarbas Pombal to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Nuno Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Eduardo Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Schmidt in the 57th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Federico Valverde kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Gilvan Luz made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Robinho Falcão sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ed Mundo hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Nuno Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st play minute Camilo Fresnedo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gilvan Luz. 2-4. 75 minutes into the game, Reko-Recko 03™'s Jarbas Pombal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilvan Luz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. In the 84th minute, Reko-Recko 03™'s Zé Augusto Moura dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. Reko-Recko 03™'s Carlos Eduardo Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Laguna in the 93rd minute of play. The Reko-Recko 03™ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Reko-Recko 03™ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
