Palermo AFC's Israel Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Marega in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Severino Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sabadim Harammes PRD the free kick. After 21 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Barros. 29 minutes in the game, Leandro Marega fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Israel Betadur having to interfere. Israel Betadur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Palmiro Cordeiro in the 31st minute. Israel Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Palmiro Cordeiro in the 36th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Alípio Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Godofredo Gabon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Manso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Palmiro Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmiro Cordeiro in the 53rd minute of play forced Palermo AFC's goalkeeper Israel Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Palermo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Gentza to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalkeeper Alfredo Manso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Ur. 59 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alípio Freitas came free, but Israel Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godofredo Gabon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Manso having to interfere. Israel Betadur came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Sabadim Harammes PRD's Palmiro Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Palmiro Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 78 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Palmiro Cordeiro came free, but Israel Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Palmiro Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Israel Betadur. Palermo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 86th minute, Leandro Marega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Israel Betadur was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After a rather tough play, Sabadim Harammes PRD's Alípio Freitas got a free kick in the 90th minute. The supporters of Sabadim Harammes PRD booed when Palermo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Polentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Alcino França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabadim Harammes PRD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alcino França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Israel Betadur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Palmiro Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Ur.
