After 4 played minutes Bicicleta F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Sotil. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Sidnei Faria got a free kick in the 10th minute. Charles Arantes's late challenge caught a Bicicleta F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Arantes helped the player get up and apologised. Portuguesa:s Ruy Goiano showed great skill when he stopped Blas Blasi:s penalty. Ruy Goiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Lauaxeta went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ruy Goiano came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Bicicleta F.C.'s Gilberto Lauaxeta. But to his dismay, Gilberto Lauaxeta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 36th minute Segundo Feliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Edgardo Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 40 minutes, Blas Blasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bicicleta F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Blasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Bicicleta F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mateo Batista hit a great ball. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Valdo Mazza hit a great ball. The Portuguesa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bicicleta F.C. were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Segundo Feliu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Bicicleta F.C.'s Gilberto Lauaxeta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruy Goiano. Ruy Goiano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Feliu got free with Ruy Goiano in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidnei Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Betinho Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Edgardo Iruinea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bicicleta F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Iruinea in the 77th minute of play. Sidnei Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ignacio Atauri having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Sotil in the 90th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Ruy Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sidnei Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Iruinea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ruy Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
