After taking down the ball on La Banda del Tinto's corner Eliseo Miro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pompiliu Comarnescu quite easily take care of the ball. Pompiliu Comarnescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in La Banda del Tinto's zone, Niculae Perșa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generoso Nabar came out of the goal and Niculae Perșa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Pancho in the 41st minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Pompiliu Comarnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to RED BLUE STAR getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Narcis Bălace hit a great ball. Pompiliu Comarnescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Harriet in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Pancho to make the kick off. After 74 minutes of play, La Banda del Tinto's Celso Harriet made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompiliu Comarnescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacinto Pancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Pompiliu Comarnescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Narcis Voiculescu fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED BLUE STAR's protests and gave Narcis Voiculescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of La Banda del Tinto booed when RED BLUE STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Voiculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, La Banda del Tinto's Lorenzo Maiorga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pompiliu Comarnescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee showed Fabio Chinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Banda del Tinto had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
