The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Jimeno Pitin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victor Ishmael. Jimeno Pitin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Victor Ishmael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Hanni in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Dorados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Pitin came free, but Victor Ishmael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Dorados FC's Aurelio Llope seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aurelio Llope the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dorados FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aurelio Llope had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 14 played minutes Dorados FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Llope. Jesus Jon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Cloyo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Ishmael. Dorados FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Cloyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Esteban Amato made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Quico. Celtic FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 25th minute, Fernando Tristan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Quico was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Angelo Beturian hit a great ball. Victor Ishmael made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Alonzo Ortzi sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Quico having to interfere. Andres Erasto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Quico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Jesus Jon kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Esteban Amato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Ishmael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Hanni in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fernando Tristan's late challenge caught a Celtic FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Tristan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dorados FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Fernando Tristan hit a great ball. Feliberto Gonza charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliberto Gonza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Jesus Jon sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dorados FC's Victor Ishmael didn't even have to move. The supporters of Dorados FC booed when Celtic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Hanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Braulio Llanos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celtic FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Llanos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Amato. After 83 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Beturian. Angelo Quico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Huly in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Dorados FC booed when Celtic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Gonsalvo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Maximiliano Cloyo hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes, Celtic FC's Jesus Jon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victor Ishmael came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Celtic FC reached it.
