Cleiton de Toledo's late challenge caught a EC Fragata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleiton de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Sangue nos Zóio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Didi Rodrigues hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Sangue nos Zóio's Alan Antunes threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Egídio Ortiz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 11 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Abreu came free, but Clemente Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo de Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for EC Fragata. Antônio Alcântara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Clemente Esteves. 0-1. Cesinha Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Célio Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Esteves. Sangue nos Zóio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of EC Fragata booed when Sangue nos Zóio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Célio Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Ortiz in the 42nd minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Alan Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Clemente Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clemente Esteves came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Fragata's Aloísio Abreu. But to his dismay, Aloísio Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Ortiz was the one to do the kick off. Cristóvão Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Clemente Esteves made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Sangue nos Zóio's Igor Aparecido got a free kick in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Célio Nogueira during the 66th minute. Clemente Esteves came out of the goal and Célio Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to EC Fragata getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Cesinha Trancoso hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton de Toledo. After a defensive mix-up in Sangue nos Zóio's zone, Antônio Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Esteves came out of the goal and Antônio Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton de Toledo. With a little luck, Sangue nos Zóio's Clemente Esteves got control of the ball when Cristóvão Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clemente Esteves made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Célio Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. Clemente Esteves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodolfo Santos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 85 minute of play. Alfredo de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Sangue nos Zóio's Edvaldo Bastos in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EC Fragata's goalie prevented a goal. Alan Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the final whistle sounded EC Fragata left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sangue nos Zóio.
