The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stellan Wallmark took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Stellan Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 8th minute of the match, Stellan Wallmark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Merlin Dolan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Merlin Dolan had great luck who in the 10thth minute grab hold of the ball when Stellan Wallmark from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Stellan Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carson Sherrill came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Zamalek FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carson Sherrill couldn't finish the play. Stellan Wallmark succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 19th minute, Mohamed Salah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundborn IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 23 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stellan Wallmark came free, but Merlin Dolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stellan Wallmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stellan Wallmark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stellan Wallmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Dolan having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Stellan Wallmark made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Stellan Wallmark reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Merlin Dolan. The goal made the score 5-0. Lloyd Warren kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Börje Åkesson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Merlin Dolan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Sundborn IF's Stellan Wallmark was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 44th play minutes Stellan Wallmark shot 8-0, a short shot which went by Merlin Dolan and just under the crossbar into goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malcolm Neal was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Stellan Wallmark made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Börje Åkesson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Merlin Dolan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. After 62 minutes of play, Sundborn IF's Stellan Wallmark made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merlin Dolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, Stellan Wallmark had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Merlin Dolan. Zamalek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stellan Wallmark was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. In the 72nd minute Börje Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sundborn IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pål Arvidsson in the 75th minute. Kåre Myhr was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Merlin Dolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor Ahlbom in the 77th minute of play. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stellan Wallmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Sundborn IF's Tor Ahlbom got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15-0 became the score in the 81st minute when Stellan Wallmark elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Stellan Wallmark scored 16-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Merlin Dolan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Merlin Dolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stellan Wallmark's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Denny Olson's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denny Olson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Denny Olson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Stellan Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sundborn IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stellan Wallmark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Dolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Axel Klint in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Mohamed Salah made a precise shot to the right of Merlin Dolan. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 17-0. Sundborn IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
