After 2 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Herena. After 7 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Saul Francho. Joaquin Herena hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Biaggio to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Urritz to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goalkeeper Nicolas Kiliz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Neron. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Primitivo Txanton got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 40th minute, Didier Drogba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Primitivo Txanton kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saul Francho was the one to do the kick off. Dionisio Abaurre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Francho in the 52nd minute. Dionisio Abaurre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saul Francho went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Maravilla's zone, Rolando Reynardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Kiliz came out of the goal and Rolando Reynardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Txanton. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Julian Urritz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Clemente Neron sped through Maravilla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Kiliz. Ovidio Birila charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidio Birila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Didier Drogba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Newpi Academy had played much better football throughout.
