The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Bater Cuca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futuros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bater Cuca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Themistoklis Charalambakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Futuros FC booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelios Panagiotidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Papi Hamburger could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Themistoklis Charalambakis however easily saved by the left post. Vassilis Stratidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naldo Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Koukoulas in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Futuros FC's Papi Hamburger made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Themistoklis Charalambakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Naldo Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Koukoulas's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 31 minutes, Dimitris Koukoulas made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Futuros FC's Naldo Martins tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dimitris Koukoulas in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, Panos Michailidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Cerezo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Giorgos Nousias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Naldo Martins. Futuros FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimitris Koukoulas made a kick off. Futuros FC's Naldo Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Futuros FC from getting a goal against them. Papi Hamburger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themistoklis Charalambakis having to interfere. Papi Hamburger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Futuros FC's Naldo Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Futuros FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Dimitris Koukoulas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Naldo Martins. The goal made the score 1-3. Bater Cuca scored 2-3 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Themistoklis Charalambakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dimosthenis Kakarnakis hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 83 minutes in the game, Dimosthenis Kakarnakis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Naldo Martins having to interfere. Vassilis Stratidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
