Cristobal Santiago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tacettin Revha, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Moreno Beltrán dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zikri Mahsun, 2-0. Cristobal Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Erdem Yalınç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 30 minutes, Vladimiro Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHIZUOKA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Eron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Aytekin Aktaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tacettin Revha fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's protests and gave Tacettin Revha a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR got a freekick which was hit by Tacettin Revha. Zikri Mahsun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moreno Beltrán, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, SHIZUOKA FC's Moreno Beltrán ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zikri Mahsun. Zikri Mahsun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Zikri Mahsun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR from getting a goal against them. Teoman Arkan kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Teoman Arkan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristobal Santiago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tacettin Revha was the one to do the kick off. SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Teoman Arkan 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. Mustafa Ekrem Ilgın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fadıl Reis in the 67th minute. The corner ended in Aytekin Aktaç almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago did a great save. In the 69th match minute, SHIZUOKA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Baldovino to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes in the game, Teoman Arkan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristobal Santiago having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Ibrahim Kutluay could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Cristobal Santiago however easily saved by the left post. In the 81st minute, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Mustafa Ekrem Ilgın dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. 87 minutes into the game, Tacettin Revha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Cristobal Santiago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute Moreno Beltrán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zikri Mahsun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moreno Beltrán hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teoman Arkan in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Teoman Arkan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristobal Santiago, 3-5. The GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
