In the 13th match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Enström to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, CSKA's Dido Taslakov got a free kick in the 14th minute. Aleko Karabozhilov came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lions FC's Villiam Olofsson. But to his dismay, Villiam Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jens-Ola Strömbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delyan Alexandrov in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Håkan Hamberg got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Villiam Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlado Gospodinov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, CSKA's goalkeeper Aleko Karabozhilov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Villiam Olofsson. Villiam Olofsson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Aleko Karabozhilov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Lions FC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Villiam Olofsson made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Villiam Olofsson came free, but Aleko Karabozhilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Villiam Olofsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Aleko Karabozhilov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A sloppy throw-in by Mavrudi Gerasimov in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Golden Lions FC's Håkan Hamberg. A collision led to CSKA getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Vlado Gospodinov hit a great ball. Vlado Gospodinov charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vlado Gospodinov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yulian Serafimov hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Aleko Karabozhilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Västlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Aleko Karabozhilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villiam Olofsson in the 84th minute of play. If Villiam Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. Villiam Olofsson's late challenge caught a CSKA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Villiam Olofsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Villiam Olofsson. For all the effort they put into the match, the CSKA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golden Lions FC.
