Obi Kenobi was slow to take the kick. During this time Mandalas's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Obi Kenobi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Horhoianu did a great save. In the 18th minute, Robert Stafie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Obi Kenobi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferdinand Horhoianu. Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marquinhos Ramalho in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Horhoianu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Ramalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Horhoianu. Purcaresti CSS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marquinhos Ramalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ferdinand Horhoianu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Obi Kenobi went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The corner led Mandalas's Obi Kenobi to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferdinand Horhoianu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Obi Kenobi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinand Horhoianu was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Marquinhos Ramalho took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdinand Horhoianu. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cezar Novăceanu to make the kick off. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mandalas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
